The Bandera Bulldogs varsity football homecoming game versus the Pearsall Mavericks was a doozie! The two teams combined for 90 points in a tug of war which the Dogs won by better than 2-1, 63-27.
The Medina Bobcats were bit by the La Pryor Bulldogs 56-6 in their away game. Many thanks to Leianna Rich for the score report!
Congratulations also to the Bandera Lady Bulldogs for their win over the Pearsall Lady Mavs in varsity volleyball action! Leianna also reports that the Medina Lady Cats lost in their varsity volleyball match versus the Sabinal Yellow Jackets this morning.
My photos from the Bandera volleyball and football games should be online within a few days. Keep your eyes here for the latest updates!
Thank you for supporting The Outlaw!

What a week to be a sports photographer in Bandera County! I enjoyed covering a variety of games, including all three school districts, Bandera ISD, Medina ISD, and Utopia ISD. Photo galleries posted include:
Bandera Lady Bulldogs freshmen, JV, and varsity teams vs. the Devine Arabians – Sept. 23, 2008
Bandera Middle School Bulldogs 7th Grade B-team vs. Carrizo Springs Wildcats – Sept. 25, 2008 (I had to run to City Council, so I only have a few images from the game)
Bandera Bulldogs varsity football squad vs. Carrizo Springs Wildcats – Sept. 26, 2008
Bandera Youth Soccer Organization (BYSO) opening day games – Sept. 27, 2008 (because of Medina volleyball, I was only able to grab a few photos)
Bandera County Youth Flag Football Association (BCYFFA) opening day games – Sept. 27, 2008 (Same with BYSO: because of Medina volleyball, I was only able to grab a few photos)
Medina Lady Cats varsity volleyball vs. Junction Lady Eagles – Sept. 27, 2008
Utopia Lady Buffs JV and varsity volleyball vs. Leakey Lady Eagles – Sept. 30, 2008
What a week! You can find all of the above photo galleries in the Bandera Bulletin’s DotPhoto.com account.
Thank you for supporting the Outlaw! I’m off to photograph some Medina Bobcats football!

Bandera routed Carrizo Springs from the first touchdown through the fourth quarter tonight in varsity football action, bringing their record to 2-2 in 2008.
Medina fell to Sabinal 28-43.
Photos from the Bandera Bulldogs vs. Carrizo Springs Wildcats game should be up within a day or so!
P.S. If I ever capture a reception like this on camera, I’m a made man.

Heck of a game between the Bandera Lady Bulldogs varsity volleyball squad and the Devine Arabians tonight! Congrats to the Lady Dogs on their huge come-from-behind win. My ears are still ringing from all the fans cheering their hearts out. You guys rocked the gym tonight!
And I even landed a good photo or two! I’ll have the pics processed and posted online within a day or two.
In the mean time, feel free to check out my game stories from last week over at the Bandera Bulletin’s web site. We have Bandera rocks Wimberley in 26-14 win from the Bandera Bulldogs varsity football game against the Wimberley Texans, and duPerier named to All Tournament team in Comfort from the Medina Lady Cats varsity volleyball trip to Comfort. There are also other game stories from coaches Gretchen Sowell, Mike Lenz, and Brooke Ashcraft in the Bulletin’s Sports Section, which I just so happen to be editor of! Many thanks to everyone who submitted stats and stories this week!
And thank you, as always, for supporting the Outlaw!

(Note #2: Apparently the Bulletin’s DotPhoto.com account does not allow direct linking to albums; you have to go through the main DotPhoto.com entry to access any of the images. I have received several calls about the issue, and I can assure you, I share your frustration; the Bulletin’s system is not my first choice, but its use is out of my hands. You should be able to use this link to find the Bulletin’s albums, then just click through to the one you wish to view. If you guys have any further troubles, please do contact me so I can try to help find a better workaround.)

Miss Kelsey Dyes texted me earlier to report that the Bandera Bulldogs fell to the Llano Yellow Jackets tonight in varsity football action.
I was shooting at the Medina Bobcats game in Junction, and the Cats were solidly defeated 49-6. Photos to be posted online soon.
For more info on the games, visit BanderaBulletin.com.
I should be shooting Medina and Utopia volleyball this week, as well as Bandera’s big game Friday at home versus Wimberley. See you guys at the games!

Looks like I may end up shooting Bandera Lady Bulldog volleyball today instead of tomorrow!
Because of dear Hurricane Ike, the varsity game has been moved to today, Thursday, at 5:30 p.m.
The Pearsall Cross Country meet has also been canceled.
Medina ISD reports that the Saturday volleyball game has been canceled, but football is on, and cross country is pending. Keep an eye on their bad weather page for updates. You’ll find me at the Medina football game tomorrow night if it is not canceled.
Utopia ISD reports the Saturday volleyball games have been moved from 11 a.m. and noon to 2 and 3 p.m. I did not find a bad weather page on the Utopia ISD web site, so if you have any questions about Ike affecting your school, call 830-966-3339. I will be indulging in some Utopia Lady Buff volleyball next week!
Pay a visit to the Bandera ISD web site for the latest Bad Weather Updates.
